Haussa (?) takouba
Hi all,
Wanted to show my latest takouba, I think from the Haussa ethnic group. Simple, locally made, blade, but a very nice brass hilt. (Last picture is before cleaning). |

Hi Yvain, nice takouba, haussa also seems correct to me. The pommel is of the older type, probably late 19th early 20th century. Blade is local but seems to be of a good quality. Similar takouba's I posted a while ago. Good find.
