Hi all,



Wanted to show my latest takouba, I think from the Haussa ethnic group. Simple, locally made, blade, but a very nice brass hilt.


(Last picture is before cleaning).

Hi Yvain, nice takouba, haussa also seems correct to me. The pommel is of the older type, probably late 19th early 20th century. Blade is local but seems to be of a good quality. Similar takouba's I posted a while ago. Good find.
