Gentlemen, it's been quite a while, but I'm happy to share with you some photos of the cleaned sword.
First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the guard consists of two parts. This is quite unusual, in my opinion. In any case, I have never seen such a design before. The first third of the blade is double-edged with a pronounced yelman. On one side of the blade there is a relatively wide and deep fuller and next to it a narrow one. In the wide fuller there are seven round depressions, in one of which the remains of a copper alloy are visible. On the other side of the blade is only narrow fuller. |
