Interesting. I found a date and can read 122(?)
Better photos might help reading the date.

Inside the tughra it says in Turkish
sahib ahmed ‘amel-i hüseyin kalfa “The owner Ahmed, work of Hüseyin Kalfa” The tughra form itself might be the word malik, another word for “owner” The date above is 1229 (1813-14) The first line of the inscription in the long cartouche is of a type common on yataghans. In Turkish: ya muhammed kıl şefaat ümmetindir ahmed “O Muhammad intercede for Ahmed (on the Day of Judgement), he is [from] your community” The second line is the ubiquitous Arabic phrase: la fata illa ‘ali la sayf illa dhu’l-fiqar “There is no hero but ‘Ali, no sword but Dhu’l-Fiqar (Zülfikar)” For another piece by Hüseyin Kalfa https://www.alifart.com/osmanli-yatagan-272436/ |

Thank you! I can guess. Guessing is easy... I guess... I guess the blade is Turkish (as in Made in Turkey)... and the hilt is not original but a replacement, that wasn't made neither in Turkey, nor in the Balkans. |
