It looks like someone did quite a number on this keris. It does indeed appear that the surface was ground down leaving nasty tool marks and i suspect that the sekar kacang is a later addition as well. I also suspect that the gonjo may be a later, poorly made replacement.
I don't think the pendok is worth saving and personally i wouldn't spent too much money trying to re-dress this poor thing. It's too bad because it looks like it may have once been a much more handsome blade. ![]() |
