Default Queen Anne pistol by James KNIGHTS of Halesworth

This is my youngest pistol of this type. As the maker's name on the barrel is hardly readable except the first to letters KN and in my reference books list no gunsmith with these letters in Halesworth it was a difficult search in the internet but I found the gunmaker James Knights in the year 1748.

Remarkable on this pistol are its iron mountings and the very peculiar style of its sideplate
