OK, I'm taking liberties with the pirate connection, but these items certainly were found in many pubs and wharves over the centuries...
First up is a pewter flagon stamped 1749 by the noted Swiss pewter and silversmith, Antone Charton. His finer pieces are in museums in Germany and Switzerland. Just the type of drinking vessel you'd expect a pirate to have! |
