Can anyone place the origin and time period of this belt? Asking for a friend.

With my novice eyes, I would say silver and Indian origin or Persian. But....

One easy test, he can try with a magnet
! Also, test with bleach, if become black => solid silver or silver plated, then, just have to clean the belt with white of meudon |

Thanks. I am more interested though in the origin of the belt and approximate date than i am the materials. Thought it would be awesome if it tested as silver.
