Overall 36 cm long, blade length 23 cm . Crude fullers. Scabbard and top of grip have a 'silver' appearance.

Tibet/Bhutan. Lots of modern carp doing the rounds at the moment but yours looks like its got some age.
Sometimes have hairpin lamination in the blades, which is what the fullers appear to be emulating in your example. Nice length too, a good thing ![]() |

It looks as though there was wire on the hilt. Is the material under the remains or over it? If it's gone it wouldn't be difficult to replace. The silver scabbards and mounts are sometimes plated sometimes solid. If solid they polish up quite well. Best Gene |

Nice dagger. Looks like something is missing from the grip... Is that red fabric I see?

Sometimes these have coloured fabric incorporated into their mounts. I've seen ones with pierced sheet mounts with red fabric underneath. The hilts are usually wire bound. |
