Sword around 1600?
Hi All,
What do you think of this piece? Is it authentic? Overall length is 100cm. Looking forward to your comments. Thanks and best regards Andreas |

The king's mark on the blade is the sign of the most famous Solingen smith Johannes Wundes (1560-1610). His mark is the most imitated.

Hopefully I am wrong, but sadly I must agree that this looks to be a very nice 19th century copy to me as well.

Thanks for the replies!
I am also not convinced that this sword is as old as it should look like. Your throughout negative comments confirm that. regards Andreas |
