Hi All,

What do you think of this piece? Is it authentic? Overall length is 100cm.

Looking forward to your comments.

Thanks and best regards
Andreas

My opinion is 19th or 20th C.

Beautiful, but i think a victorian copy.

The king's mark on the blade is the sign of the most famous Solingen smith Johannes Wundes (1560-1610). His mark is the most imitated.

Hopefully I am wrong, but sadly I must agree that this looks to be a very nice 19th century copy to me as well.

Best,
Robert

Thanks for the replies!
I am also not convinced that this sword is as old as it should look like. Your throughout negative comments confirm that.

regards
Andreas
