Very nice! It will clean up well. The carving is very high quality. What is the length and how thick is the spine? I believe it is late 19C or early 20C.

Sorry man!

Detlef- I like that one. Not sure length on mine, but based on a photo in hand I would guess ~ a 30cm blade and ~12cm handle.

Bolo for comment

Based on my reading here, I would place this as Central Luzon. Photos are from Ebay seller (it will be a long time before I get my hands on it).

I like the little monkey dude on the side, I think it is the same one often riding the Lasara. The blade was likely originally from a keris - do you sign of pamor?

Philippines dagger

Does anyone recognize this style? Peened hilt, copper guard, brass ferrule, horn handle (some bug holes). 6.5" blade, 11" OAL.

Bali keris comments plz

This just arrived. I am looking forward to cleaning up the blade, there appears to be interesting pamor. To me it feels old based on the worn greneng and other general erosion. The gandar is pegged...

This may be from Luzon but the blade is not typical. Diamond in cross section and features an engraving that feels European to me. There appears to be initials in the rectangle but I can't make out...
