For what it's worth... I think it's a pretty blade :) I think the flashy jewellery is a bit over the top, just draws attention from the blade, so I wouldn't need that bit... but I like the black...

That is very common. As already recommended, the NMB will likely give you the assistance you need.. They were very helpful about a nihonto of mine there and were incredibly swift and knowledgable....
