who can tell me where this Badik comes from
and something about the shape

semar, i'm just guessing that this badik might be gajang luk, or maybe salapu? but i'm pretty sure that the steel is called malela- black steel..

it appears that there is some sort of a mark at the base of the blade in the fourth photo.. hmm..

maybe other seniors here can help out..

Hello Semar,

the appearance is clearly Bugis. And the blade seems to be old and unusual but the fittings look recent!? :shrug:

what i meant was the style of the badik..
i'm not quite sure tho, just guessing..
but it's definitely of bugis style.. :)
