Default An excavated shortened sword or a Dagger ?

An excavated shortened sword or a Dagger ?
O.L. 48 cm ; blade L. 36.5 cm; quillons width :10 cm
Point of balance 2 cm from the hilt.
With the sphere shaped pommel and one ring guard I think that the period could be late 15th or early 16th century.

Before to receive it, only from the pictures my first guess was a short sword or a sword with shortened blade but now in hands I would say a dagger.

Yes, the size of the grip, the relative width of the blade, the ring guard. A large (left hand ?) dagger, though.
