Default Lion head sculpture

Dear all,

can anyone tell me something about this wooden sculpture - age and if possible origin?
Height ca. 30cm

Best regards
Andreas

I'll have a go. it reminds me of the heads sometimes found on a choba, so I would guess it is Indian, and seems to have some age.
Regards
Richard

Hello,
I also had a "deja-vu"-like reaction as it reminded me of some Indian tiger-shaped hilts that were very fashionable during the reign of Tipu Sultan.

However, these hunches can be very misleading sometimes, so I would treat them with caution.
