KINABASI SWORD
Hello friends,
Sharing this newly-commissioned sword called a KINABASI (Hiligaynon language: meaning in the likeness of, or in the form of a KABASI (s amall fish with a sharp-pointed head). This lovely sword was made by a bladesmith from Mindoro. OAL: 30.5 inches/ blade: 22 inches scabbard: kamagong wood (Diospyros blancoi)- tiger variety. Enjoy Yves |

So, aside from binakoko, apparently Tagalogs and Hiligaynon-speaking Visayans also share kinabasi, though the Tagalog ones are usually shorter than this but the profile is more or less the same.
