Default Moro or Philippine Bows and arrows

Moro or Philippine Bows and arrows, I have never heard them spoken of or even seen them but I know they exist...anyone have some good images or info on the subject?

Hi Gav

There is a good new book out called "In the shape of tradition" by Eric Moltzau Anderson. It has photos of Ilongot and Negrito men with bows and arrows on page 342.

Not sure if I can post an image because of copyright ?

Regards.

Default Negrito Arrows

Hi Gav, I was told these are From the Negritos. I like the way they basically used whole feathers for fletches. Overall about three feet in length.

The arrows shown by Archer are from the Ayta of Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Bataan. They are used for hunting wild game, not for fighting (i.e. not weapons of war). One is for shooting fish and the other for shooting terrestrial animal (I am not sure which particular animal as I do not have my notes at the moment). The Ayta have more than 50 types of arrows, each with a specific purpose, type of target, etc.
