A few koummya's
A few koummyas collected over the past year. The middle one is the most recent acquisition, a very good blade with a thickness of 5.1mm at the handle, the silverware seems to me to be of a good quality and there are 4 silver marks tete de belier on it. The brass koummya has a blade of 3.6mm, the koummya with the bone handle also has some silver marks and a blade of 3.2mm. All three of a good quality and suppose they are the real thing and not tourist stuff. Comments welcome.
Best regards Marc |

Nice koummayas. The ram's head mark was adopted in 1925 to indicate 80% silver, so that should give you an idea for an earliest possible date. I agree that it is not a souvenir, but an authentic example.

indeed, also the fullers indicate it not to be a touristic piece

Hi Teodor , Detlef & Gp thanks for the confirmation. The mark on the blade is unknown to me. Anyone have any idea what it is?
