Antique buthanese dagger?

I just adquire this piece, my first impression is dagger is from Buthan, maybe 19 th century? blade 35 cm and handle 10 cm. The sheath has a piece of ray skin
Any information will be wellcome!!

Yes, I think you are correct about the country of origin; a Bhutanese "dozum". I can't comment as to the age, though; I believe they are still made to this day.

I am not a specialist but this is a great antique dagger, for sure 19th century, congrats! Are the mounts from silver or iron?

Tibetian daggers looks different. For Bhutan daggers look for example here:

These daggers are called "dossum".

I'd be more likely to place this in the 1950s, early People's republic.
Likely Yunnan made for export to finance the state.

an older piece would probably have hairpin lamination. It would be worth etching this to see if it is made that way.

I'm with Gavin - the fullers appear to be made with some sort of rotating tool.
