I don't know, whether you are interesting in such keris or not. I don't even know the name of the dhapur, either...

Dear Michael,

Not so clear, what figure it is. Maybe Garuda-headed naga. The pamor in the naga's body, is "pamor tambal" (I don't know the right English word for it). There are no more traces of gold kinatah or tinatah left... Is there any info on this motive? (I will make it clearer, soon)

No, I am not Cirebonese. I don't even know who I am (?). I was born in Solo or Surakarta Hadiningrat, but my favorite style is Yogyakarta's keris. I love Cirebonese style, and other style too. I am very very interested of Pattani style for the last two weeks...

Yeah, that is an old keris. Supposed to be tangguh Mataram in Amangkurat era (?). Or if I'am fortunate: Sultan Agungan... This picture below, is real Cirebonese keris with luk 9 (Wali Songo?), and with fantastic relief of Paksi Naga Liman (Elephant-Naga-Garuda headed figure). Like the Royal Chariot (?) of Cirebon, which bears name Paksi Naga Liman. The form of the chariot (you may see in the Cirebon palace, or in its museum), is just like this relief.

Thanks alot, my keris friend Mr Cahaya and Mr Raden Usman....

Dear Michael,

This picture is what you requested. I think it is a figure of a garuda-headed naga, with wings and crown. I don't really know the name of the dhapur or this (probably) Mataram era keris..

Very interesting Mataram keris, Pak Ganjawulung...
And to make more interesting, here I posted my keris with relief too. The kinatah on this keris is original, but some side had worn off
So, perhaps you can give me advises regarding my keris, like tangguh and dapur.. ect...
Every opinion wellcome...

Mans,

thank you for uploading.
perhaps, the corroded panji wilis at the gandik has the same motive as a relief on the top of lizard head.

Thank you for your opinion Pak Raden,
But my keris had "King" relief / figure on the gandik.
So, do perhaps the kinatah motif under the gonjo is a Jamang (front of the crown)

Mans,

When I looked closely, your gandik seems like a human figure in a squatting position, wearing a wayang headgear, including the earpiece. Perhaps just my imagination. The blade is beautiful. I love looking at the layering on the blade, side profile.

Mans,
High possibilites that the figure at gandik sure looks like a squatting man wearing a headgear - possibly a king wearing the crown. That kinatah at the ganja could be jamang motifs. Impressive!!!

hi Alam,
Yes right that the figur looks like a human who wearing a wayang headgear . Hei.. thats not just imagination.. Different with me who always imagine when I have the superb collections of Keris Sumatera, Bugis and Semenanjung like yours..

Also thank to Newsteel, you have same opinion with me that the figure is a king wearing the crown in squatting position

By more pictures we can know more about the keris styles.. and I hope other forumities will post another keris with relief too for reference
