Another view of the triple lock gun, the butt trap cover missing, the stock profusely inlaid with engraved bone or staghorn plaques (not ivory!).

Plus a fine detached double wheel-lock for a gun on the superimposed load system, made in Augsburg, ca. 1580.

Not at the Hermitage but in a Bavarian collection.

Default A fine and rare double wheel-lock puffer, Saxony, ca. 1590

Sold at auction at Bonhams, London, Nov. 10, 2005.
