Default Norman

Please excuse my complete ignorance, but does anyone know if A.V.B. Norman is still alive? He is [or was] one of the world's foremost experts on arms and armor. The author of many books and articles on the subject, one of his best known works is "The Rapier and the Smallsword, 1460-1820." I have been trying to find out more about him and if possible, how to contact him. I do not even know if he is still alive! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
