Well, sampir has a Sulawesi flair, batang (or more likely buntut) not so much, blade is bugis, yet I don't know from where (leaning towards Sulawesi), pendokok could be Sulawesi, hilt northern malay.

Interesting, sampir and batang seem to have the same grain: is the grain painted or is it "batang iras" with different finish on sampir and batang?

This was a very nice and interesting blade, with a forging flaw, which perhaps could be acceptable for a bugis blade with such elaborated pamor, yet the damage to the edge reaching the middle of the blade is very disturbing.
