Based on the sheath it looks like a Siraui from central Sumatra.
The handle and blade isn't that typical for a Siraui however. Does the knife fit perfect in the sheath? Michael |

Hello Lew,
I'd suggest a generic "Pisau" - can't place the scabbard with certainty but wouldn't be surprised if the whole piece were from Sumatra. Regards, Kai |

Hi Kai,
I noticed that they also were found in Jambi, that's why I suggested central Sumatra. Also I am not that confident in that the knife belongs to the sheath? Michael Last edited by VVV; 6th November 2006 at 08:16 AM. |

Then you have a very unusual knife for that scabbard. Usually the hilt and blade looks like this. Michael |
