A Persian wootz blade with arab fittings, of the finest quality. Three things ive seen for the first time:

1. That karabella type hilt, on such Nejdi style fittings, its the first time ive seen such a thing.

2. The cord on that hilt, usually, there is some fine wire wrapping, here we have an engraved golden cord.

3. The leatherwork on the scabbard, such tooling, is usually found on persian made scabbards, this is the first time ive seen it on an arab scabbard.

The sword is clearly of very high quality, having a persian wootz blade, and gold fittings, it must have been the property of a sheikh or some governor. It also is in a very good condition, that could signify that its not that old, perhaps late 19th early 20th century; the blade could be much older though.
