German cuirassier HELMET CIRCA 1620

I just receive this german cuirassier helmet I have bought few days ago . size overall 45 cm weight 3.1 KG. Any comment on it or photos from similar Helmet will be welcome. Regards Cerjak |

Hi Cerjak,
What can you see on the inside of the seam of the 'top' of the mohawk I can't quite make it out? Is there some kind of join? Could you get a closer picture by any chance? ATB Gene |

Hi Cerjak
It's a very impressive helmet. Thanks for all the additional pictures. Very useful. By coincidence I was offered a similar helmet recently and am hoping to compare construction. I'm particularly interested in the area indicated below. There looks like an almost undulating pattern on the highest point inside the crest? It may just be the light, but if you could check or photo close-in to show that area, it would be really helpful. Many thanks Gene |
