Default Pinuti?Samar blade?

I just got this old small blade, almost like a child's sword. I am guessing it is vintage. I believe it has some features of blades of the Pinuti from Cebu or a blade from Samar. Since it has a guard I am also guessing its main purpose is for combat. The guard is loose also. It will take some time restoring this piece.

Hi h0ll0wman,

Looks like a WWII vintage piece--but hard to say from the pictures. Could be older. The scabbard seems to be held together with thin wire wrappings, which might fit with WWII era. Is the blade edge V-ground or a chisel grind? A lot of Samar blades are chisel grind.

Hello Ian. Thank you for the insights. I am agreeing with you that it looks like from the WWII era.The blade has a chisel grind for right hand.
