A shame indeed I just finished wathcing The Red Sox play the White Sox for 20 innings ; a normal game goes for 9 innings .
All respect to Italy and France but personally speaking I think a game should be played until one side defeats the other in regulation play . When this is done you really get to see which team has the most heart . |

A game with overtime and penalty kicks DOES show who has the most heart! Italian team had no emotional outbursts, like Zidane's and no mercenary players. Clean win, well deserved and honorable! EVVIVA ITALIA!!! P.S. I had some grappa already, as you can surmise.... |

Hats off to Italia, and congratulations The paramount moment of the game was Zidane's headbutt of Materazzi Too bad he had to end his career in that way.

CONGRADULATIONS TO ITALY!! I WAS IN YOUR CORNER TO WIN BUT IT IS TOO BAD THE GAME ENDED AS IT DID BECAUSE OF A BONE HEADED ACTION. IT IS DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE A PROFESIONAL WOULD MAKE THAT KIND OF MISTAKE ON PURPOSE WHEN SO MUCH WAS AT STAKE. BUT IT DON'T MATTER CAUSE YOU ARE THE CHAMPS
