Naval Boarding Axes
Hi all,
After my visit last year to the Royal Armouries and some valuable contributions from private collectors I have made a major revision to the British Boarding Axe page of my website www.boardingaxe.com. It now includes seven makers for the tomahawk boarding axe and three for the 1859 pattern, together with a host of new information. As always if you have any information that will add to the knowledge of boarding axes please get in touch. Regards, David. |

Excellent added material for us naval collectors and historians alike! Fascinating to see the development of the British axes from the early 19th versus the later period, with the widening of the bladed edge. Thanks for posting, David!

Thanks Mark.
My next project is to update the US axes as I have accumulated more useful information and photographs over the last year or so. David. |
