Default Indian arms maker - looks real good, don't be fooled

Someone on another forum shared this website with me and I thought I'd raise awareness of it. The website showcases a Nihang Sikh swordsmith who produces very accurate Indian weapons with some more or less minor artistic license. Some of these look extremely good and could pass off for antiques if resold. They might also throw us off in a couple of years when they enter the market as never before seen types and variants.

Very interesting...thanks for sharing...not that these are designed to be fakes, but I'm sure somebody will try to pass them off as antiquities...I know I was just looking at a auction online from which has several new antique Chinese jade carvings and "ancient" bronze Chinese swords...ridiculous...

The sleeping giant woke up! There is already a sudden abundance of tulwar hilts and katars on e-bay.
Chinese fakers started similarly: with very careful avoidance of the "old", "antique" etc labels, by now they are in full swing.
Expect genuine swords of Tipu Sultan, Shivaji and Babur for $49.95 to hit the market in the near future. Some even with autographs.
BTW, if you go on the seller's site, check out the Bagh Nagkh: true academic masterpiece:-)
