Default African Shield

Attached are some pictures of what I am told is an African shield from the Congo. I would be interested in knowing more about it such as how it may have been used, where its from, and its likely age. Thank you.

congo.
I would say nsakara. bandia. saw the handle that is typical of these ethnicities..it lacks a big part of braiding ..
I would say it dates back to the 1920s / 1950s
