Assorted takoubas for sale
Hi All,
Need to sell a few items to fund a recent acquisition. A few notes, I'm not listing exact shipping as it depends on where it needs to go. I only charge exactly what it costs me at the post office. Roughly speaking usually it's around 20 Euros or a bit less to ship a sword inside Europe depending on the type of service you want - easiest way is to contact me and we'll figure out what works for you. I prefer to ship to Europe as I'm located in Czech Republic and that keeps the shipping costs down. But I will ship anywhere if asked! I am not interested in trades at the moment I afraid. I can be contacted at iain.norman(at)gmail.com. Payment options I am open to are paypal (I don't add a percentage to cover fees), or bank transfer. Images attached to this post correspond to order the items are listed in (first image is of first item etc.) 1. Takouba – Tuareg More details and pictures here: http://takouba.org/takouba04/ A nice classic example of the Tuareg takouba with an excellent pommel stack. In good shape overall. I think pics tell pretty much everything you need to know. A nice complete sword with sheath in great condition with woven carry strap still attached. Asking 160 Euros. 2. Takouba (Alguinjar) – Fulani? More details and pictures here: http://takouba.org/crv-takouba02/ The curved variants aren't seen for sale very often. As you can see there's some corrosion (I've worked on it a bit recently, so it's somewhat better than in these pics, but not drastically). Sheath is in good shape. Asking 120 Euros. 3. Takouba – Tuareg More details and pictures here: http://takouba.org/takouba06/ A fairly typical more modern takouba but a nice sturdy sword none the less and at a nice price! Sheath is in good condition. Asking 100 Euros. |

Lets drop some prices!
Takouba 1 - now asking 145 Euros Takouba 2 - now asking 85 Euros I just shipped a takouba to inside Europe today and it was 20 Euros, so it should be roughly to same for any EU country. Also on sword 1 that's not a bend in the tip. Just a bad reflection. Someone was asking about it before. |

Well I really need the cash for something else so...
Takouba 1 now asking 115 Euros or open to offers. Image of the sword attached again. Comes with scabbard complete with cloth strap. I think this is a very fair price for a good example of a Tuareg sword. PM or email (iain.norman@gmail.com) |
