Default Sidamo knife?

Picked up out of curiosity a "cheap" lot of three Ethiopian daggers/knives. Turns out I got lucky as one of them was in superb conditions, quite old, complete and untouched in its original conditions. I need help in positive id. So, Martin, as you are the expert on these particular items, is this a SIDAMO knife? Blade is 14.5" long. Pretty heavy and sharp. Scabbard still has the original thin leather covering. All in all is one of the best additions to my Ethiopian collection. Happy hunting to all of you guys.

Hi Ron,
Thank you for sending the pictures of this interesting dagger. It's hard to determine their origin, there is no comparative data, no old photos with location. They don't make daggers like that anymore. It's probably from the southern half of Ethiopia, but I don't think that's certain either... I think it's still a pre-2.w.war dagger. I'm posting pictures of my Ethiopian long daggers. Some of them are quite heavy. I bought them all in the Ethiopian capital .... The big ones are probably Konso
Best regards,
Martin
