Default Moro Kris in Welsh River

Am I correct in thinking this is Moro and not "Malaysian" as they say? Firstly, it seems far too big for a Malaysian Sundang, and a lot of the details and overall shape seem Moro to me.

Interesting discovery. I agree with Ron and croccifixio, definitely a Moro kris. The overall length and width of the blade suggest it is more likely to be late 19th C. than an 18th C. piece. The kakatua hilt is very well preserved--perhaps horn? I'm thinking this is probably from Maranao or Maguindanao based on its overall size. Now, how did it get there?
