Default A silver flintlock fantasia

Good morning dear members,

I want to show to the specialists of the forum this flintlock I have.
It is a fantasia maybe made on a real old flintlock,
20,5 inches long, made for tourists.
I don't think it is old made but I didn't found anything similar in internet and is really massive
. it can be an unusual piece
Maybe made in Morocco ?
Or Turkey ?

Kind regards

Really nice model !
I don't think it was a real one but you can use it as a deluxe truncheon-club !

Here a moroccan silver pistol,
Nice silver work of higher quality. but same simple geometric-floral pattern

Your large model must come from Albania -balcans , a Kubur flintlocks

The floral motives, especially under the barrel look Moroccan to me, and not Balkan.

Yes, likely the pistol was made for the tourist market. This one looks like it was made around the 1960's or earlier. More and better quality work went in to making these tourist items then the later years. Sometimes they would be made with a combination of old, original parts and new made parts.
Is there a small vent hole in the barrel where it meets the powder pan ?
