Thumbs up Hamburg wonders

Do not worry there are some weapons but not many. I cannot believe members will consider the other content uninteresting. I have still to work on some native American clubs.

Thanks for sharing these pics...to my eye a couple of really remarkable pieces...one, what appears to be a fantastically executed Balinese keris blade, and secondly, the sword with the unique hilt and blade.

Hopefully we can find out more about that unique sword here.

This picture is food for thought. Here in Hamburg I have found two shops selling " Tibetan artifacts" The products are all newly made and some of the religious bronzes are of a very high standard of modelling but most of all mould making, and are being retailed at very high prices almost as if they are old or once culturally significant. The quantity seems to contrast with that idea. This picture is interesting, sure it might be a nice sword but not great art and I think not what one hopes for if you pay a lot at any given sale venue.

It says: "Yak-shepherds in front of the holy mountain Kailash".
