Default Powder Flask ?

I would welcome opinions on this , possibly a powder flask. Diameter of body ( which appears to be made of a gourd or similar ) approx 10 cm.

What is the neck like? Is it hollow to the body/removable or fixed/any cutoff?

The design at the centre is a 1969 Uruguayan peso coin. Not sure why it would be on a powder flask. I’m guessing it’s not an original part and is a more recent addition? If it is an original part that would mean this flask was made during or after 1969
