Cossack russian , caucasian belt
Good evening dear members,
I saw the post about the caucasian buckle belts ans I wanted to show you this model. Really nice but I have a basic ''stupid'' question about the way it was used: how do they attach a kindjal on it ? A string fixes to the kindjal scabbard then passing through some of the small holes ? There are many stamps on the pieces , Really glad if someone can help for maybe fix the origin translate it . Best wishes |

it looks like .875 silver (84 Zolotniki) with a for me unknown Kokoshnik / silver mark, perhaps 1885 if I read it correct.
Some more info : https://www.silvercollection.it/russ...allmark1b.html https://www.925-1000.com/Frussia_kokoshnik_01.html but some of our Russian specialists can advise in more detail |

Thank you for these nice pictures !! They were small or/and healthy-thin men, The belt is 83 cm / 32,7 inches long |
