Pre-WWII Visayan tenegre for sale

Nice old tenegre with unusually long blade and carved wooden guard. This one is in "as found" condition except for a light cleaning of the blade to remove some superficial rust. The blade remains sharp and has been oiled at regular intervals. The hilt has no chips and comes with a nicely carved bakunawa head. Probably dates from the early 20th C, but may be older.

OAL = 28.5 inches
Blade = 23 inches
Hilt = 5.5 inches

Price: US$ 300 + shipping via AusPost (I will pay insurance). Paypal only please.

Here is a picture showing the thickness of the blade (0.25 inch) near the guard, and the composition of the ferrule which is made from a strip of brass (seam is apparent in the picture below). Years of grime from handling cover the ferrule.
