Default Latest piece, a Gunong.

Arrived today, having made a trouble free journey from the USA to my door. Many thanks to Spunger for selling me this truly excellent example. I could not be happier, and the photo's do not really do it justice. Eleven and a half inches, 29cm, long in the scabbard, and a good sturdy blade that I think might well be laminated.

Hello David,

very nice bigger one! Congrats. Would guess that it is from 1920-1930.

Regards,
Detlef

I wish I could say that my first gunong was anywhere near as nice as the one that you have just received. My congratulations on this wonderful addition to your collection.

Best,
Robert

Congrats, that's a real nice piece.

I always find it interesting that the silver work, and there are a number of different applications, they all share the same feel and style as many Jambiya.
