Default Identification of unusual knife in the news?

Photo taken in Raqqa, Syria, on June 30, 2014, shows an ISIL anti-aircraft gunner brandishing a large knife.

Knife appears to have a clipped point, sawtooth spine, blade pierced in decorative pattern in two places, metal crossguard, wooden hilt, metal pommel.

Is this a recognized style or pattern with which anyone is familiar?

Looks like the sort of big sword knives that come out of Pakistan. Some of these Pakistan made knives are really rather good. I bought this example for camping a lot smaller. There are big ones like the chap is holding. I do not care for the cut out macho look.

I suspect it would be quite efficient in murdering women and children.
My apologies for any ethnic slurs to ISIL, it was purely intentional.

Fantasy nonsense. Likely purchased from Bud-K or similar.
