Default Tomahawk- Native American Or?

Hello everyone! Here is another weapon that I don't know that much about and was hoping someone may enlighten me where this originated and age? It measures approx. 16" long and was told that it was originally acquired from Northern Michigan and was thought to possibly be Native American. I don't think this is Native American and I am hoping one of you experts can help identify this weapon. Would appreciate any info. and opinions. Thank you Tomahawk
