Default New Moro Helmet Plume

Greetings folks,

Here is a Moro helmet plume that I finished for a client. It is the only one made in 150 years and the only one known to exist outside of a museum (there are roughly 6 in the world and all are in museums).

I had to take pictures of the ones in museums, old descriptions from Krieger and the Smithsonian, and reverse engineer how to make this from scratch. It is made of wood, bamboo, feathers, velvet, metallic ribbon, thread, hemp, and cloth. The height is around 30 inches/75 centimeters.

Side note - I also repaired most of the holes and the back flap, and made the ear flaps on the helmet.

Enjoy.

PS - I repaired the suit of armor that went with all of this.
