Default African knife Identification needed

Greetings folks,

Yeah not my usual area, but I'm researching this for my institution (getting my 3rd masters in Marriage and Family Therapy).

I thought this might be Shona, but not so sure.

It is 34 cm long.

Thanks in advance,

Jose (aka Battara)

Hi Jose
I have no idea where this could be from, have looked on the site africanarms.com and in my books, but found nothing. The blade is reminiscent of touareg, but not the rest. The only thing somewhat similar is what I found in the book waffen aus Zentral Afrika, Yakoma/ Ngbandi but don't think it is correct. Too bad I cannot help you further.
Best regards
Marc

Shona seems reasonable, to my eye.
Best wishes
