Default Bolo But For What Use ?

I've seen a few of these Luzon bolos over the years but most were priced higher that I wanted to pay. I just won this one and would now like to know what you all think the original purpose for it might have been. The blade itself sort of reminds me of some of the blades on binangons that I have seen in overall blade shape. It looks to me it like it was possibly made for chopping up meat like a meat cleaver. I don't know for sure how thick the blade is but by looking at the pictures it seems to be about 5/16 to 3/8 of an inch thick. It is over 18 inches in total length and the blade is supposed to be 2 inches wide. The hilt is horn hilt with brass fittings. If used for fighting it I'm sure would make a horrible wound if not completely remove a limb. The pictures below are from the auction. Comments about this what it was used for and possible name would be greatly appreciated.

Seems to be a small all purpose bolo (camp knife) to me.

So far I would agree with Lew. You are right it is from Luzon.

Lew and Jose, Thank you both for your help. Chopping meat, other food items and wood as well as other camp duties would make sense. What would you make on age, pre, during or post WWII ? Thanks again.
