I just realized that the European Forum has been up for one year! Did that go by fast. Congratulations to Lee, the moderators and of course Jim.

All the best

WOW! Where did the time go!!! Thank you Jeff

It really has been a great year, thanks to you and all who contribute here.

Indeed all thanks to Lee, who graciously allowed this subforum to be added, and handles faithfully all the administration and coordination needed to keep this functional, and the moderators who keep things running smoothly.

Looking forward to many more years of fascinating topics, and as always,
learning together!!!

Thanks again Jeff, and everyone.

Jim

Default Well noted

Well Noted Jeff and congrats Jim, Lee and other who were involved in creating this forum.
Although I am not a contributor often, this aspect of the forum has added a wonderful dimension to the forum and I see members here who may not have joined the community if this was not present.

All the best

Gav

For only a year, this forum has become a great resource where I have been able to learn a great deal about European arms.
Congratulations to Jim and everyone else involved in making this the great place that it is now.

408 threads and 5,241 posts in one year .
A remarkable performance; certainly envied by many communities out there .

I am very grateful for all the kind words here, and clearly, the success of this forum is owed to all of you who have participated and shared in all the great discussions over the past year.

If I may, I would like to extend a very special thank you to Michael, who we know as Matchlock, for all he has done in sharing magnificent photos and European artwork in constant arrays of breathtaking groupings.

It has been his life's work to collect, study and preserve the history of some of the very rarest European firearms in the world, and he has constantly shared these on personal tours that many of us would never experience, even if we could get to the museums that hold such items.

Along with all the amazing items all of you have shared here, helping us all learn, Michael has tirelessly continued to teach us more on these early firearms than I ever could have imagined.

Again my deepest gratitude to all of you guys, and Michael, thank you for opening the doors to understanding these very rare arms.

As always,
Jim
