Greetings All

This auction just ended I am hoping it's wootz will post pics after its cleaned and etched. Interesting is that nobody else bid on it and it seems to be in great shape?

Hey Lew, it DOES look promising.....but MAN! those photos sure do suck. Looks to be a genuinely old piece. I hope you find it is wootz as well.

Well the katar finally showed up today after being lost for a bit during the
X-mas rush. I cleaned off one side of the blade with 600 grit sand paper and etched and blued it. It was hard but I able to coax the wootz pattern out a little. It is made of Indian wootz with a fine pattern. It will be hard to photograph it but I will try when I have good light if not I will bring to Maryland in march for all to see.
