Default Pics - Dayak / Mandau Carving Tools

I have a lot of free time this week and finally got enough time to dig and clean up my archive.

Dayak / Mandau Carving tools
Collection :Museum National
Circa : 1960's
Etnics : Dayak Kenyah



Consist of :
1 Pisau Raut ( Knife )
2 Kikis-kikis
3 Tempurung Panjalutan
4 Sauling ( Kind of waterstone for polishing)
5 Girik
6,7 Derisan ( Knife )
8 Neddle
9 Cleansing Iron
10 Keninbo ( Hand drill )


tools + skillfull carver = magnificent pieces









and many of us here love their work of art
I would be gratefull if forumite would like to post theirs finest mandau /parang collections.
