Image resizer
Quote:
You can try to resize the pictures. I use "Image resizer" which you can find a free download on following link: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/D...powertoys.mspx Download the image resizer on the right of the webpage and install. It is not difficult, I did it too ;-) ,and you can resize every pic just with a right click on the mouse. Good luck, Maurice |

Harold,
This is a keris. so you posted it in the wrong forum. The keris is from Indonesia. This is a rather recent made example in a walikat sandang dress. These kind of keris are made for export purposes. I think it should represent a keris from east Java or Madura. Pamor is as far as I can see Udan Mas. |

Yes, this is a recent keris, and it is in a variation of the sandang walikat form of dress.
However, these keris are not produced for export purposes, if we take the word "export" to mean to a country outside the borders of Indonesia. But they are produced for export from their original centers of production in Madura and East Jawa, to other places in Indonesia. The primary market for current era blades---this is a current era blade--- is Indonesia itself:- Jakarta, Surabaya, provincial cities. A small number of the total production can find its way into the western world. It is important to realise that keris making in Indonesia is a continuing tradition, and as has been the case in the past, the biggest buyers of current era keris are Indonesians themselves. |
